PRIVACY AND COOKIE POLICY NOTICE

under Art. 13 of the Italian Privacy Act (Legislative Order No. 196 of 30 June 2003)

The Data Processor is Maurizio Nicolis of Robilant, who can be contacted at comunicazione@robilant.it.

2. Purposes for which your details will be handled
2.1 – Purposes for which your details will be handled: Privacy Policy
Details which you have of your own free will chosen to provide in e-mailing the addresses indicated on the website may be recorded in order to respond to your queries and requests.
Specifically, in addition to the email address needed to reply to the sender, any other personal details contained in that communication will be handled.
Details gathered in this way will be stored and handled solely for the purpose of retaining correspondence on file, and will not be used for other purposes.

2.1 – Purposes for which your details will be handled: Cookie Policy
Your personal details are handled in order to enable you to benefit properly from consulting the website.

3. Mode of handling
Your details will be handled mechanically by means of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) hardware and organization/data processing software appropriate to the above purposes, and at all events in such a manner as to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the details and their communication. They may also be handled in hard-copy (paper) form.

Data on browsing
The ICT systems supporting the website could in the course of their operation gather certain data whose handling is a characteristic feature of Internet communication protocols. Any such data gathered will only be used for the purpose of monitoring the parameters of the website’s functioning ,and for deriving statistical information.
This category of data includes, for instance, the IP addresses of users’ devices, the number of visits, the pages viewed (with dates), the URL (web address) of the referrer page (the last page the browser was displaying), and which browser and operating system the user is using.

Data on browsing and environment variables
In the course of their normal functioning the IT systems and the website’s procedures automatically gather certain personal details relating to your browsing, including environment variables.

Google Analytics with anonymized IP (Google Inc)
The website uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) to generate statistics on website use.
Google Analytics uses cookies (not third party cookies) which do not store personal details. The information which can be extracted from cookies about use of the website by the users (including IP addresses) will be sent by the user’s browser to Google (registered office 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States), and stored on that company’s servers.
Under the current terms of service, Google will use this information, as independent Data Controller, for the purpose of tracking and examining the use of the website, compiling reports on the website’s activities for use by its operators, and providing other services relating to the website’s activities, the mode of connection (mobile/ PC, browser used, etc.) and the way in which the website’s individual pages were searched for and arrived at. Google may also transfer this information to others when legally obliged to do so, or so that those others can process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate the IP addresses with any other data in its possession.

ScorecardResearch (ScorecardResearch)
ScorecardResearch is a statistics service provided by Full Circle Studies Inc.

AddThis (Addthis Inc)
AddThis is a service provided by Clearspring Technologies Inc which displays a widget enabling interaction with social networks and external platforms, and sharing the application’s contents.
Depending on how it is configured, this service can show third parties’ widgets, (those of social network operators, for instance, where interactions can be shared). In such cases the third party providing the widget, too, will be aware of the interactions, and can gather details of the use made of the page on which the service is installed.

Typekit
Typekit is a typeface display service managed by Adobe Systems Inc which allows the software to include such content in its own pages.

Video Vimeo (Vimeo LLC)
Vimeo is a video content display service managed by Vimeo LLC which allows the software to include such content in its own pages.

YouTube Video Widget (Google Inc)
YouTube is a video content display service managed by Google Inc which allows the software to include such content in its own pages.

Twitter social widget (Twitter Inc)
The “Tweet” button and Twitter’s social widgets are services provided by Twitter Inc offering interaction with the Twitter social network.

Removing and disabling cookies
Because cookies are ordinary text files they can be read and edited using a word processor.

Alternatively it is possible to disable Google Analytics cookies only, by using the opt-out  add-in provided by Google for the leading browsers.

4. Is giving my details compulsory or optional?
You are entirely free to choose whether or not to give any other personal details requested for the purposes set out in Section (2) above. You will lose nothing by choosing not to, though disabling some cookies could stop you enjoying the website’s full functionality.

5. Extent of communication
For the above purposes, users’ details may become known to those of Robilant’s ICT staff who have been appointed to handle such details.
Your personal details may also become known to Francesco Buscemi in his capacity as Systems Administrator.
Your data may be handled inside or outside the European Union.
Your personal details will not be disseminated.

6. Rights of Data Subjects
Under Art. 7 of the Privacy Act you, the Data Subject, are entitled to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him/her exist, even if such data have not yet been recorded, and the right to have them communicated to him/her in understandable form.
The Data Subject is entitled to be told:

  • the origin of the personal data;
  • the purposes for which and way in which the data are handled;
  • the software used, in the case of data handling with the use of electronic devices;
  • the identifying details of the Data Controller and the Data Processor(s);
  • the names of the persons to whom the personal data may be communicated.

The Data Subject is entitled to obtain:

  • the updating, correction or supplementing of the data;
  • the deletion, conversion into anonymous form or embargoing of any data handled in breach of the law, including any data retained other than as necessary for the purpose(s) for which those data were collected or subsequently handled;
  • a declaration that the operations listed above have been brought to the attention of any person to whom the data have been communicated or distributed, unless it is impossible to do so or would entail the use of resources manifestly disproportionate to the right vindicated thereby.

The Data Subject is entitled to object, wholly or in part,

  • on legitimate grounds, to the handling of personal data concerning him/her, even if relevant to the purpose(s) for which those data were collected;
  • to the handling of personal data concerning him/her for the purposes of sending advertising material or of direct selling, or to carry out market research or any commercial communication.
