BRAULIO

THE FATIGUE OF THE CLIMB, THE TASTE OF THE ARRIVAL AT THE SUMMIT

Sipping is a growing area of consumption on the international spirits scene. The Italian “amaro”, and some versions of this product in particular, rightfully fall within this category. Amaro Braulio is one of them. Its sensorial profile, the botanicals included in the formula, the altitude at which it is made, in Bormio, in the Alta Valtellina, and, above all, its ageing in barrels, make it a liqueur that requires time to be appreciated, sip after sip.

Robilant has participated in the relaunch of this brand with almost 150 years of history, creating the concept of a climb up a mountain path in both the glass and the label, which interact synergistically, punctuated by the botanicals that enrich its formula. All of this takes place against the backdrop of Monte Braulio, part of the Stelvio alpine complex, which the Amaro boasts in the descriptor.

The labels feature freehand drawings in natural colours, as if taken from the sketchbook of a hiker dazzled by the beauty of his surroundings. The paper support enhances the theme of manual skills and the artisanal approach, inspired by the painstaking processing of the material, linked to the value of time.

The time the Amaro spends ageing in Slavonian oak barrels, 15 months “in the heart of the mountain”, is enhanced by a dedicated badge.
A strong oblique relief on the front, along with the ascending diagonal in the various other elements of the packaging mix (the outer case for example), emphasises the climb, and the name Braulio, engraved on the foot, convey a sculptural quality to the bottle.

The visual identity completes the project, describing signs, treatments and materials in which the theme of the mountain echoes the direct, tangible contact with its elements - stone, wood -, capable of elevating the experiential component implicit in the new placement.
